Today we walked around and found some absolutely amazing locations to take the photos. We decided on the pool inside Robinson. We will hang them off of the diving board. I feel our group is great and will have an amazing project and great time working together.

Class 10/6/10
In class on Tuesday everyone hung all their drawings up on the wall. After that everyone went around and looked at all the drawings and picked the ones that were good. I found this to be very helpful in my own way. Now I can go back and refine the ones that everyone thinks work well with the topic they are under.

Class 9/28
Today in class we started the 3rd set of drawings, looked at a sophomore's class drawings, and learned some tools on illustrator. To me this was one of the best days in the class so far. It seems as if we finally are getting some instruction on what we are expected to know (in this case illustrator). So I am actually very happy with the way class went today. I also almost got all my drawings done!

Class 9/21 - 9/23
This week we have been working on different techniques to drawing an object. I had a hard time deciding either to draw a zippo lighter or a pocket knife. I originally went with the knife, then i went to the lighter. And now finally I am back to the pocket knife. I feel like the knife has a bit more potential. Today I drew some drawings that I thought were pretty good and worked well with the topic are project is about. However I like this project a bit more then the others, i still fell as if I can't do everything I would like to be doing with my art. I really enjoy surrealism and abstract art. So I am trying to incorporate some of that into my drawings for this piece. My favorite drawing so far is the ones where i used a sponge to make just the outline of the object.

Today my group finished up our project. We got the poster printed out and glued onto our foam core. The Only thing really left to do is our individual process notebooks.

Summary of IDEO movie
The film about IDEO showed how one company works together to redesign an object to make it better for the common people. At first they would go out and talk to the common people to find out what they thought about the object (in this case a shopping cart). Then they would brainstorm ideas on what would make the best cart. Finally after the best of the best ideas where taken, then a prototype was made.

My Object to Redesign
I decided that an object that needed to be redesigned was a contact lens case. Upon interviewing others who also used contacts they also agreed to redesign it. However in my group we decided that the object that needed the most redesign was earphones
