Eliminate PDF

  1. From the top down excluding the B&W designs:
1&2 are the most interesting of the first design. #2 weaken the chroma of the background so the text really stands out. It would also help if the green letters were much darker. Eliminate is kind of a negative word, so make sure your color combinations are not to pretty; dark values and weak chromas could be really suggestive here. I don't think you need to show space here as it doesn't add to understanding the word.
    8) weaken the background chroma to focus attention on the text
    9) a darker value background would help draw attention to the text
    10) eliminate the stroke around the letters and darken the red so that it is more suggestive of the definition.
    13) Nice value progression--remember to put the strong chroma in the foreground to grab attention. There are only two hues here, but its pretty successful with just those two. If you decide to put a third one in, it could be just one letter or even just the dots on the "i"s.
    14) It's a nice design. Weaken the chroma of the background even more to emphasize the letters (it could be almost gray). Then darken and/or weaken the red so you get better value contrast and also suggest the negative aspect of your word.

  2. I forgot to mention that you only need two color variations from each B&W design.
